Welcome to Orchard Cottage, a comfortable, quiet home-from-home situated in the picturesque Cotswold Water Park. The owners, Steve and Lesley Perkin, welcome guests to their courtyard cottage and hope that this provides a great base for a holiday whether a relaxing week or two, or a shorter break.
Orchard Cottage forms part of the Lower Mill Estate, a peaceful and secure 500 acre estate made up of nationally important lakes along with an SSSI nature reserve and the UK’s first Beaver enclosure. The Thames Path runs along the site and on the doorstep are fabulous walks with an abundance of birds and other wildlife which can be watched from the estate’s hides.
The cottage can comfortably sleep four people in the three bedrooms, a double and two singles. However, an additional person can be accommodated as one of the single beds can become a double and there is space for a travel cot in the main bedroom.
We are tucked away in a sunny courtyard and through the back door there is a two acre orchard, shared with a handful of other cottages. This is fully fenced with the start of the River Thames on one side. The orchard provides a superb safe play area for young children or a fantastic retreat for an early evening drink.
