Location of The Lower Mill Estate near Cirencester
Orchard Cottage lies a few hundred yards south of the village of Somerford Keynes (our post being GL7 6FP) and is within the western section of the cotswold water park see here (CWP map West).
Our Cottage is also very well located on the estate as this aerial pictures illustrates as the shop, pool, orchard, tennis court, are just a few steps away.
To get to the cottage is very easy as we hope our directions illustrate

By car from the M4: Exit at Junction 15 and head towards Cirencester on the A419. After approximately 10 miles take the Cotswold Water Park turning (left) known as the B4696 (spine Road).
By car from M5: Exit at Junction 11a and head towards Cirencester on the A417. After Cirencester the road changes to the A419 and you take the first turning for the Cotswold Water Park onto the B4696 (spine Road).
Follow the B4696 (spine Road) until you reach a cross roads and then go straight over towards Somerford Keynes. After a mile or so you will come to a right turn but please carry on for another 1/2 mile and you should see a lane on your left hand side with some large white signs saying The Lower Mill Estate. (If you come to a cross roads you have gone to far)
Turn left down the lane and stop when you reach the first 5 bar gate on your right. You will then need to get out and tap the security code (which we will text email you) into pad on the stone post.
When the gate opens proceed slowly (the estate speed limit is 10 mph) as the cottage is close now and after 100 yds you need turn right in between the wardens office and our art room (opposite the Thatched Barn) where you can stop and unload your bag (the cottage is right in front of you).
By train and bus - Kemble is our nearest rail station which is 10 mins by taxi and the local bus information can be found from this link
Once you have unloaded please park your car by the tennis courts
